The Kochi-based Institute of Small Enterprises and Development (ISED) formally announced its unique series of stakeholder meetings named ‘India SME Darshan' at the national level. This follows the formal launch of the institute's prestigious ‘India MSME Report 2011,' the annual stock-taking on the status and performance of micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in Bangalore recently.
An ISED press release said the purpose of Darshan, an annual exercise, is to capture the perspectives and concerns of the MSME stakeholders, especially the entrepreneurs, besides taking the message of the report to the key centres of MSME activity in the country.
Darshan is part of a larger programme of the institute — India MSME Communication Programme (IMCP) — actively partnered by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and other national and international partner organisations.
The national programme will be formally opened in Hyderabad on July 12. The Hyderabad Meet, organised jointly with the State Department of Industries and Commerce, and the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI), will be inaugurated by Mr Appa Rao, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
