In a bid to strengthen after-sales support for its products in India, Acer has opened a new service centre in Bangalore.
This is the second centre that the Taiwanese company has opened in the last few months. The first service centre was opened in Delhi. With distributors not meeting customer satisfaction levels in after-sales support, Acer has decided to roll up its sleeves and take on the initiative, which it hopes its distributors would follow.
The centre is spread over 800 sq feet and will provide support for Acer’s products from computers to projectors. Further, this centre will also stock electronics accessories such as adapters, laptop batteries, computer mouse, hard disks and other break fix services.
“We are trying to create a customer experience that is akin to going for car servicing with the emphasis on customer experience,” said Rajendran S, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India.
These Acer support centres will be launched in Mumbai, Pune and Lucknow by the end of this year, according to company officials.
In 2011, Acer clocked revenues of $15.7 billion.
