Mary Meeker’s 2015 report on Internet Trends says over 40 per cent of India’s online retail happens over mobile phones. This is way ahead of China, UK and USA. Companies like Snapdeal and Flipkart are seeing 70 per cent of their business coming from the mobile platform. Chinese counterpart Alibaba is just around 50 per cent. About 65 per cent of total Internet traffic in India is on mobiles.
