MindTree Ltd has launched a solution called MWatch to enable CIOs to monitor their IT infrastructure and ensure higher uptime. The service is being offered at almost no cost to its customers, said a company official. “You can manage your data centre by having people continuously monitor parameters, or you can have a single integrated dashboard,” said Mr Ram Mohan C, Senior Vice-President and Head -Infrastructure Management and Tech Support, MindTree.
He said the solution would be installed in the data centre of clients and would help companies cut costs because the number of people who would be required to monitor the data centre could be reduced. He said that new and existing customers would be charged a setup fee and would have to dedicate one or two servers for the software. While not getting into figures of what it cost MindTree to develop MWatch, he said the product was developed in-house over a period of 2-3 years by a team of 30 developers.
