Kamakshi S Pai, General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), has assumed charge as Joint Director of Bankers’ Institute of Rural Development in Mangaluru with effect from August 1.
The institute is established by Nabard for training and capacity building of client institutions such as commercial banks, cooperative banks, regional rural banks and NGOs.
Pai has done her BCom and CAIIB, besides Masters in Law from Mumbai University. She has an experience of 31 years in Nabard and has worked in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.
A press release said here that Pai is an expert in the field of institutional development. She has worked extensively in the areas of microfinance, financial inclusion, rural infrastructure, corporate planning, law, corporate communications, etc. She was actively involved in the work process re-engineering exercise undertaken by Nabard, the release added.
