The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has promised to give a loan of Rs 3,000 crore for the Telangana WaterGrid project. “The bank has agreed to disburse the loan this year itself,” a Government press release has said.
The bank has expressed its willingness to sanction the loan at a meeting with the officials of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
“We have explained to them the salient features of the project that seeks to provide drinking water to all the households in the State in the next four years. Besides, it would also provide optic fiber network connectivity to people,” the press release said.
