KEF Infra, a pre-fabricated building solutions company, will set up a 250-acre park near Hyderabad to house building- and construction-material manufacturing units.
It will sign an agreement with the Telangana government in this regard.
Besides investing ₹650 crore in its own plant in an extent of 50 acres as an anchor investor in the park, the company will also promote the park for investments from ecosystem players in India and abroad.
The Telangana government is evaluating four places in Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts for locating the park.
“We will finalise the location in 3-4 days. The State government will develop the infrastructure at the park,” said Telangana Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said the park will help build an ecosystem for manufacture of building and construction material, and create jobs and attract investments.
KEF Infra, which has a 42-acre facility at Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, “manufactures hospitals, schools, hotels, homes and commercial buildings.”
“We employ about 1,600 people at our Tamil Nadu plant. The Telangana facility too has potential to generate a similar number of jobs,” said Faizal E Kottikollon, founder and Chairman of KEF Holdings and KEF Infra.
