The 13th Kerala Bamboo Fest 2016, organised by Bamboo Mission under the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion, will be held at Marine Drive here from December 2 to 6.
Besides, 100 artisans from Kerala, around 60 artisans from States of Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Assam, Karnataka, Sikkim will be participating in the Fest.
The annual bamboo Fest has been helpful in making the public aware of the bamboo products and its benefits. This year’s Fest will showcase a training programme of the Bamboo Innovation Centre at Angamaly.
State Bamboo Mission was started in 2003 to hasten the entrepreneurial process in bamboo and allied sectors. The Mission was formed with the aim of addressing the problems of source, inadequacy of technology, lack of understanding of marketing opportunities and lack of skill development.
