To curtail the menace of fake documents, Mangalore University has launched global document verification system for certificates and mark lists.
To verify certificates or mark lists issued by Mangalore University, alumni or any other document user need to upload the said documents at www.mangaloreuniversity.directverify.in and make an online payment. The university will verify the credentials of the uploaded certificate or mark list with university records.
On completion of the verification, an email with a link of the verified document will be sent to the requesting party.
A press release said here on Wednesday that Mangalore University has become the first university in Karnataka to launch paperless verification using global document verification system.
It said that the facility is launched because of numerous fake documents that are reported to have hampered the credibility of various institutions.
Mangalore University’s participation in the paperless verification mechanism will curtail the fake document menace and ensure credibility of the university’s certificates and mark lists, it said.
The service is being implemented as part of a technology transfer from myeasydocs.com, a company incubated by IIT-Madras, the release said.
