1 One hour in the morning or night is for myself. My day begins at 7 am and ends at 1 am, so I usually exercise in the morning. I do yoga five days a week, it is like a religion for me.
2 I am strict about my diet. Six days I follow a vegetarian diet, with fruits and egg white everyday. However, on Sundays, when I go out with the family, I indulge in non-veg food, usually fish or chicken.
3 I love what I am doing. So I enjoy my work and 70 per cent of my time is in patient care and the OPD, but 30 per cent is in administration and that is stressful!
4 I love music. Even as I operate, I have background music in the operating theatre — it is either western classical or songs from Bollywood’s golden era — Pankaj Mullick, SD Burman or Geeta Dutt.
5 I work hard and religiously take a 10-day vacation in May/June and December with the family. I totally switch off from work and enjoy a little bit of photography too.
