NTPC Ltd presented an interim dividend of Rs 2,473.64 crore to the Government, at the rate of 30 per cent of its paid-up equity share capital for the financial year 2010-11. A cheque amounting to Rs 2,090.21 crore was presented by Mr Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, to the Power Minister, Mr Sushilkumar Shinde, here on Monday. This is the 18th consecutive year that NTPC has paid dividend.
