Tata Power said the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity has dismissed the appeal made by BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) against the issuance of transmission licence and distribution licence by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission to the company for the next 25 years with effect from August 16, 2014.
BEST had approached the tribunal following the regulator’s order, Tata Power said in a communication to the stock exchanges.
