Textile machinery manufacturing major Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) has unveiled five new machines at the Intec 2015 expo, now underway at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore.
The launches include a new variant of the LX series CNC Lathe (tailor-made to meet the needs of the auto industry and job shops), LTV 30 (vertical turning lathe), LR30TML 7 (a heavy duty Turnmill centre) and vertical machining centres such as JV 55, JV Kraft and the JV 100.
It had, earlier this year, introduced the horizontal machining centre – LH 63 and JHM 40, exclusively for the automobile industry at IMTEX 2015 in Bangalore.
Launches apart, the machinery manufacturing major has also started to offer its Smarturn CNC Lathe booking online.
The online offering through the Internet is expected to set the trend in the new era of online shopping, the company's Director-Finance, R Rajendran, said.
Stating that this CNC lathe would address the needs of the small-scale sector and for mass production of high-quality small components for the two-wheeler, industry, hydraulic fittings, bearings and fasteners, Rajendran said “it is also priced competitively.”
The company's LVS 25 vertical pick-up spindle lathe, known for compact size and high power, has proved its performance in the installed locations, Rajendran said, adding “we foresee demand for this type of machine to be on the rise in the coming years particularly due to rising cost of floor space and manpower.”
