Murudeshwar Ceramics Ltd's profits are down 64.86 per cent at Rs 0.13 crore on a standalone basis for the third quarter (Q3) this fiscal (2012-13) as compared to Rs 0.37 crore recorded in the same period last year.
The company’s third quarter revenues were also lower by 9.52 per cent at Rs 38 crore as compared to Rs 42 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. EPS stood at Rs 0.03 as compared to Rs 0.11 recorded last year.
The company’s performance has been impacted as certain buildings, plant and machinery at Hubli were not operational during the first, second and third quarters for conversion of coal gas to LPG. Whereas at Bangalore’s granite division, operations were hit on account of non-availability of quality blocks.
