Headstart Network Foundation in partnership with TiE-Hyderabad, ISB Wadwani Center for Entrepreneurship Development and IIIT-H is organising HeadStart Higher — a job search programme for start-ups.

At this one-day hiring event scheduled for December 15 at the ISB campus, over 50 top start-ups in Hyderabad and around will be looking to recruit the talent.

The last decade has seen unprecedented job creation in India from entrepreneurs in software, retail, financial services, healthcare and education. Hyderabad now has almost 1,000 start-ups in various stages of growth.

In Hyderabad, over the past few years, top talent from IIIT-H, BITS and ISB have made efforts at start-up placements prior to their main placements.

In the past five months, more than 130 start-ups have participated in the HeadStart Higher event in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.

According to Amit Singh, Co-founder, Director of Headstart, start-ups would probably have to invest a couple of months and 100 times more money to achieve the same result with any recruitment firm.

Ramesh Loganathan, Vice-President (Products) & Center Head, Progress Software and a core organising member said, “On one hand in Hyderabad we have bright and promising engineering graduates and on the other hand, there are start-ups with innovative ideas looking for such talent. The event will offer an ideal platform to bring together both.’’
