Telecom tower company Viom Networks has launched a model Rural Service Centre in village Badshahpur in Haryana. The centre is aimed at offering a range of services on a PPP mode including e-education, telemedicine, biometric ATMs and e-Governance like access to PDS rates, commodity prices, employment exchanges, payment of taxes, birth, death, land record registration. The centre was inaugurated by Minister of Communications & IT, Mr Kapil Sibal. Mr Arun Kapur, CEO, Viom Networks, said, “Through these centres we aim to partner with the Government to achieve their vision of bridging the digital divide through a range of telecom services, enhancing literacy in rural India, driving the agenda of financial inclusion.”
