Sugar prices up to match mill rates

Sugar prices at Vashi increased ₹10-15 on Tuesday to match the higher cost parity of mill tender rates. Naka rates ruled steady. On Monday, about 14-15 mills had offered tenders and sold about 44,000-45,000 bags at ₹3,750-3,780 (₹3,750 – 3,780) for S-grade and ₹3,800-3,900 (₹3,800-3,900) for M-grade.

On Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,822-3,942 (3,822-3,922) and M-grade was 3,850-4,092 (3,846-4,082). Naka delivery rates were: S-grade 3,800 – 3,870 (3,800-3,870) and M-grade 3,870-3,970 (3,870-3,970).
