Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who recently quit the Rajya Sabha, is still with the BJP, party’s Punjab unit chief Vijay Sampla said on Sunday.
“Sidhu is still in the BJP and he has not resigned from the party,” Sampla, who is also a Minister of State in the Narendra Modi government, said here. Just three months after his nomination by the Modi government, Sidhu had resigned from the Rajya Sabha, amid speculation that he may join the Aam Aadmi Party ahead of Assembly elections in Punjab early next year.
