Varun Chandran, CEO of Corporate360, a start-up with a data development centre in rural Kerala, has been selected to take part in the #UNLEASH2018 in Singapore. He will be among 1,000 young minds invited to create innovative, implementable and scalable solutions for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For a week, they will work on challenges on eight different themes, each tied to an SDG. These relate to food, health, education and ICT, water and sanitation, energy, sustainable cities and communities, responsible supply chain and consumption, and climate action.
Chandran will work with global teams to develop solutions to SDG4 on quality education. "Since 2015, Corporate360 has reached out to more than 500 children through a variety of education projects in the rural villages of Kerala," he said. “As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we are out to volunteer in the community for rural youth development,” he added.
