Alloy Steels Plant, Durgapur, a unit of SAIL, has replaced the existing halogen lighting system with 100 per cent solar illumination in one of its storehouses.
“The use of a solar tube inside a closed shed is the first of its kind in the Durgapur industrial belt,” said P. K. Mishra, Executive Director, ASP. The cost-effective system also filters ultra violet rays.
