Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp reported a ₹914.04-crore net profit for the first quarter of the financial year 2017-2018.
In an official statement the company said that it has reported the highest-ever quarterly sales at 18,53,647 units.
This was 6.2 per cent higher than sales in the corresponding period last year.
The net profit was also 3.5 per cent higher than the ₹883.09-crore bottom line in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Hero MotoCorp has invested ₹20.05 crore in associate company Ather Energy.
This company is working on designing and manufacturing electric vehicles.
During the quarter under consideration, Hero MotoCorp posted a gross turnover (gross sales & other operating income) of ₹8,612.9 crore.
This was at ₹8010.7 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal.
