Pennar Industries’ subsidiary Pennar Engineered Building Systems has bagged the order for the first phase of construction of pre-engineered steel buildings from Larsen and Toubro (L&T) for Chennai Metro Rail.
According to a company statement, the project is for design and construction of the workshop buildings and the infrastructure shed to be set up at Koyambedu in the city. The duration of the project is 24 months.
Pennar Group’s order book size has touched Rs 400 crore and the company aims to register Rs 500 crore revenue in the next two years, it said.
The company is present in various sectors including warehouses, steel plants, retail stores, cement plants and aircraft hangers.
