Lycos, formerly Ybrant Digital, has posted consolidated revenues of Rs 445 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015, against Rs 408 crore in the comparable quarter last year. The net profit more than doubled to Rs 77 crore from Rs 35 crore.
Consolidated revenue stood at Rs 1,957 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2015, against Rs 1,673 crore in the previous year, showing a growth of 17 per cent. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 342.22 crore during the year against Rs 221 crore last year.
Lycos, the yester year search engine firm bought by Ybrant Digital, saw an increase of 23 per cent in the digital marketing solutions business, company Chairman Suresh Reddy said.
“Enhanced search advertising has reported a 12 per cent increase in revenue from last quarter.
A new division focussed on consumer internet products (IoT) is getting ready for a launch in June 2015,” he said.
Shares of Lycos are listed on BSE and NSE through Ybrant Digital's acquisition of LGS Global.
