Those who shirk their duty in sales and marketing teams should now think twice.

A new mobile app – Seefones — tracks the movements of employees during working hours.

This employee tracking product enables employers to keep tabs on field staff and also helps enhance workers productivity with the usage of the basic tele-matics technology like GPS tracking.

Using GPS tech Developed by the Kochi-based start-up Transight Systems, the product helps fetch the location-based information through Assisted GPS Technology and it allows employers to maintain a record of their working team with an average Android phone.

Feroze Rehman, Managing Director, Transight Systems, told BusinessLine that the phones, which have Seefones app, would always be under the surveillance of the employer providing live record of workers activities thereby benefiting HR departments in a big way.

“The required information will be transmitted from the employee app to the clients database in the central cloud data pool and the employer can get all the detail in his office like tracking, punching, orders taken, call log and contact synchronisation etc,” he said.

The product, according to him, helps in both real time tracking and offline tracking with features like route tracing.

It is a cloud-based mobile app for real time order reporting and the past field records can also be fetched.

The new product helps in bringing live visibility of the entire workforce through a single window even in offline mode (when employees’ are out of network coverage). The unique location punching feature lets employees notify their managers on the commencement and completion of each assignment, he said.

Records in tact For companies, the app helps keep all corporate contacts and call records intact, assist in customer follow-up and help detect fraud.

The other features are order management that helps in online order placements in real time, thus helping a firm in inventory planning, billing and logistics.

“We have received positive response from the 150 plus test runs we conducted in the last 5 months and are all set to launch it in domestic and international markets,” Gis George, Executive Chairman, said.
