KEC International Ltd has secured new orders valued Rs 1,253 crore. While Rs 723 crore worth of orders are in the transmission segment, orders for Rs 253 crore are for substation works; Rs 123 crore for water supply works; Rs 105 crore for supply of power and telecom cables; and Rs 49 crore from Power Grid Corporation for optical-cable laying for communication in the Eastern region. The company's order book is worth Rs 9,000 crore.

PSL Ltd has received orders worth Rs 924 crore within the past quarter for supply of pipes and ancillary coating services from companies such as Nagarjuna Construction Company, Megha Engineering and Infrastructure, SPML and others.

These were for oil and gas, water and power industries and the orders would be met by the pipe mills in Kandla in Gujarat.

Reliance Industries Ltd has scheduled a planned maintenance turnaround of one of the crude distillation unit of its SEZ refinery at Jamnagar complex for a period of approximately 3 weeks starting mid-February, 2012, which is planned for the first time after its commissioning during FY 2008-09.

This opportunity would also be utilised to take up productivity improvement related jobs in other secondary processing units.

During this period, the other three crude distillation units at Jamnagar refining complex are expected to sustain normal operations.

TRF Ltd has in third quarterof FY 2011-2012 received orders worth Rs 193 crore for various material handling equipment and project work from customers like NTECL, Tata Steel and others.
