Private insurer Future Generali India Insurance today said it has tied up with Zoom Developers, an SCA (Service Centre Agency), to distribute its micro-insurance products in Himachal Pradesh.
“Future Generali targets to reach one lakh households through this initiative. We may also consider extending the services from micro-insurance products to other rural products like Janata Personal Accident or Shop insurance, on the basis the response received,” Future Generali India Insurance Head of Rural Business Ajay Verma said in a release.
“We are pleased with our association with Zoom Developers. With this association, we can reach out to rural market and will be able to address their insurance needs,” Verma added.
Through this tie-up, the company will distribute its micro-insurance products at an affordable cost through over 1,000 Common Service Centres (CSCs) delivery outlets of Kangra, Una and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh.
As per the National e-Governance Plan of the government, CSCs are proposed delivery points for government, private and social sector services to rural citizens under PPP model.
Future Generali India Insurance is a joint venture between Future Group of India and Generali of Italy.
