Nine people were killed and one person remains missing after a coal mine was inundated with water in China’s eastern Shandong province.
The coal mine in Zhangqiu city was flooded with water two days ago, state-run Xinhua news agency said today.
Rescuers have been sent to the spot and the colliery owner and others involved in the incident have been detained.
