Nakul Chopra, CEO – South Asia, Publicis Communications India, has been elected President of Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for 2016-2017.
Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & CEO South Asia CEO – South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network (Aegis Media India Pvt Ltd), was elected Vice-President.
Other members of the Executive Committee are CVL Srinivas, Group M Media India, Ganesh Baliga, Fifth Estate Communications, Kunal Lalani, Crayons Advertising, Pranav Premnarayen, Prem Associates Advertising & Marketing, Rana Barua, Contract Advertising (India), Srinivasan K Swamy, RK SWAMY BBDO, T Gangadhar, Mediaedge:Cia India and Vivek Srivastava, Innocean Worldwide Communication.
Immediate past president M G Ambi Parameswaran will be the ex-officio member of the new AAAI Executive Committee.
The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) is the national organisation of advertising agencies, formed in 1945.
Sanchayeeta Verma elected President of Ad Club, Bangalore
The Advertising Club, Bangalore has elected Sanchayeeta Verma, Managing Partner, Maxus South India & South Asia, as the President of the club. Verma has taken over from Malavika Harita of Saatchi & Saatchi Focus Network. Verma started off her career with the TTK group in 1994. She has over 22 years of rich experience in advertising, marketing, media and communications and has worked across various industry sectors. Verma has been associated with Ad Club for the last three years.
On her plans for Bangalore Ad Club, Verma said, “Bangalore has a perfect balance of seasoned thought-leaders with increasing dynamic, young and fresh talent which I would like to capitalise through our new initiatives at the club.”
Commenting on Verma’s appointment, Arvind Kumar, Executive Director, Ad Club Bangalore said, “Her enthusiasm and energy to increase the Ad Club activities and enhance its image and make it more contemporary, will help in making Bangalore Ad Club into a very active body in South.”
Sonia Serrao from Tata Global Beverages, Akshar Peerbhoy of Maa Communications and Nidhi Lall of Saatchi Focus Network are the new additions to the Managing Committee of the Club.
