Amway India has expanded its haircare portfolio with new products under the brand Satinique.
The new range includes shampoo, conditioner, revitalising masque, scalp tonic and styling gel. Sujoy Bose, Associate Vice-President, told BusinessLine the company had only a shampoo under the brand Satinique earlier.
“But as we realised that there is a huge potential for other haircare products, we decided to expand the category by adding products, which are formulated specifically for Indian women.”
He said Satinique products will be ideal for Indian women who characteristically have straight, black and thick hair and tend to wear their hair long which makes them prone to damage and split ends.
According to him, the haircare market in India is close to ₹12,000 crore, and it is growing at an average rate of 10 per cent year-on-year.
“With our new products, we hope to be a significant player in this space,” he said.
