The shares of Credit Analysis and Research Ltd (CARE Ratings) have gained as much as 4.1 per cent during trading on Wednesday.
CLSA Global Markets has bought 0.48 million shares, or 1.7 per cent stake, in the credit ratings company.
Investments by large institutions generally create a bullish sentiment in the respective counters.
The stock was up 1.8 per cent YTD as against the NSE index's 3.2 per cent gain.
