In the year of the elections, the Government’s official calendar showcases its achievements and flagship programmes under the theme ‘Bharat Nirman’. The wall calendar is designed by printed by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP).
Some of the schemes that have been highlighted in the calendar include Right to Information Act, Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Act, Aadhaar card and Food Security Act 2013, among others.
Talking at the release of the calendar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari said that the calendar played an important role in disseminating information regarding the policies of the Government. He added that the awareness of the flagship schemes reached the doorstep of the every citizen especially as the objective was to showcase rights for the common man.
