Easun Reyrolle Ltd has acquired ownership control in Australian company Electrical Distribution Solutions, getting a foothold in the power transmission and distribution markets in Australia.
According to a press release from Easun Reyrolle, an electrical products manufacturer, it acquired an 82 per cent stake in Electrical Distribution Solutions through its overseas investment subsidiary ERL International Pte Ltd.
$84-million order
The Australian company recently gave Easun Reyrolle a $84-million order to supply medium voltage switchgear products to Energex, an utility in the State of Queensland.
The supply will be over next seven years. Energex has managed the energy distribution networks in the State for more than 100 years.
ERL India has set up a manufacturing unit near Bangalore to produce switchgear products such as Ring Main Units and Solid Insulated Switchgears designed by Switchcraft (Europe) GmbH of Germany, in which Easun Reyrolle has a 80 per cent stake.
