Bharat D. Shah and Deepak Vaidya, Directors, Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, have resigned from the board, with effect from November 15 and November 19, respectively.
Bharat Shah is one of the founder-members of HDFC Bank. He has served in various organisations such as Pyrene Company, Bradma India Ltd, Technova, Thomas Cook, Citibank.
Bharat Shah has also been an investment advisor for Union Bank of Switzerland, Singapore. He is currently Chairman of HDFC Securities.
Deepak Vaidya had been on the board of Orchid since 1999. Vaidya is a non-executive independent chairman on the board of Strides Arcolab and chairman of Arc Advisory Services.
