Panasonic has announced its foray into the Solo microwave segment in India, in a bid to strengthen its microwave ovens range. Solo microwaves allow consumers to heat food and do basic cooking. Gaurav Minocha, Head of Home Appliances, Panasonic India, said: “The Solo microwave range is especially designed for the working class and targets the youth in India. It is also targeted at the consumer who wants cooking to be hassle-free, quick and cannot use gas stoves”. The company, which has launched two models with 20 litres capacity, are priced at ₹5,790 and ₹6,390 with mechanical and digital controls.
