Public sector undertaking transmission major Power Grid Corporation of India reported Rs 2,052.41 crore net profit for the first quarter of financial year 2017-2018. This is a 13.9 per cent higher than the Rs 1,801.77 crore net profit reported during the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
The rise in bottom line corresponds with the increase in revenues. Total income for the quarter ending June 30 stood at Rs 7,389.83 crore during the current quarter. This was higher than the Rs 6,259.30 crore revenue during the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2016-2017.
