Reliance Infrastructure Ltd has bagged ₹3,675 crore EPC order from NLC India Ltd for setting up two lignite-based thermal power projects of 250 MW each in Rajasthan.
“The contract entails complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) on turnkey basis of 2 Nos of 1 X 250 MW power plant based on Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion (CFBC) technology,” RInfra said in a BSE filing today.
The project is to be commissioned in 40 months, and will include boiler, turbine and generator and balance of plant.
RInfra is targeting EPC opportunities worth ₹2 lakh crore. It is aggressively bidding for over ₹1 lakh crore of projects in this financial year to increase the EPC order book to over ₹30,000 crore by FY-18.
RInfra EPC division has earlier executed large scale projects worth ₹33,000 crore, including the ultra mega power project (UMPP) of 3,960 MW at Sasan, Madhya Pradesh.
