Public sector unit Scooters India Ltd (SIL) today reported profit of Rs 60 lakh for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company had posted a loss of Rs 4.28 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, SIL said in a BSE filing.
However, net sales of the company decreased to Rs 37.10 crore in the July-September quarter as compared to Rs 46.63 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
In the first half of the fiscal, company’s loss decreased to Rs 3.14 crore as against Rs 11.94 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 16.65 apiece, down 0.89 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
