Plastics tanks maker, Sintex Industries Ltd has registered over 294 per cent jump in the standalone net profit for the third quarter ended December 2013. Company’s standalone net profit for the period stood at Rs 67 crore against Rs 17 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Net sales increased by 7 per cent to Rs 799 crore against Rs 746 crore in the same quarter a year back.
For the nine month period, company’s net profits increased by 60 per cent to Rs 170 crore against Rs 106 crore same period a year ago. Net sales for the nine month period increased to Rs 2,210 crore from Rs 2,041 crore a year ago.
On consolidated basis, Sintex registered net profit of Rs 85 crore, up by 57 per cent from Rs 54 crore in the same period last year. Net income for the nine month period, however fell from Rs 1,420 crore to Rs 1,376 crore.
