SKS Microfinance has completed its sixth securitisation transaction during the current financial year for ₹222 crore.
“With this, the total sum of securitisations completed for FY14 (year-to-date) is ₹950 crore,” S Dilli Raj, President, SKS Microfinance Ltd, said in a release.
The transaction was priced 250 basis points lower than the cost of borrowing for the previous quarter, he added.
The company had moved the receivables from micro loans extended to three lakh rural women entrepreneurs to a special purpose vehicle and pass through certificates (PTCs) were purchased by a major public sector bank.
The entire pool qualified for priority sector treatment in accordance with the RBI's priority sector lending guidelines.
