The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority has imposed ₹1 lakh penalty on Tata AIA Life Insurance Company for violation of norms.
According to an order issued by the regulator, the insurer was fined for not having effective systems in place to report cash transactions.
“In respect of various instances, no review was carried out for reporting the cash transactions,” it said.
