Tata Power said the Supreme Court has stayed the payment of the compensatory tariff by procurers as was allowed as per APTEL’s (Appellate Tribunal For Electricity) interim order of July 22, 2014 and has further asked the Tribunal to expedite the case hearings and take a final decision quickly. As the case is already being heard by APTEL, the company awaits a quick resolution of this issue, the Tata Power statement said. Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, Tata Power's subsidiary, which implemented the 4,000 MW Mundra project) has been delivering competitive Mundra power across the five States despite under-recovery on fuel charges.
