Today, an in-house team has designed an experimental panel of 13.5 kilo watts and has been successfully placed over one of the six lakes controlled by the company, he said.

Chief of Hydro and Renewable business Mahesh Paranjpe said that such panels cannot be placed on all available surface area of the lake as it will hinder absorption of oxygen in the lake water, which is replete with fishes and other aquatic life.
