Vishnu Agrawal, who has been serving as Director (Finance) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), has been given the additional charge as Managing Director (MD) of the company, according to a press release by the company here. He assumed charge on Friday.
PP Upadhya, who was the MD of the company, superannuated on July 31.
The release said that he also serves on the boards of Shell-MRPL Aviation Fuels and Services Ltd and Mangalore SEZ Ltd as Director. He is a special invitee on the board of ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd and a member of the committee of Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd.
Agrawal has been instrumental in maintaining uninterrupted crude supplies from Iran even during the turbulent times, the release added.
