Following the success of its existing stores in North India, V-Mart Retail, a value retail chain in North India, has said it would open four more stores in Uttar Pradesh by March 2014.
V-Mart primarily operates in Tier II and III cities, with a chain of `value retail' departmental stores offering apparels, general merchandise and kirana items.
Based out of Delhi, V-Mart currently operates over 77 stores in 64 cities across India.
Lalit Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, V-Mart Retail, said after a good response to the first store in Gorakhpur in 2008, we have been keen to expand our presence in Uttar Pradesh. The cities identified by the retailer are Jhansi, Fatepur, Allahabad and Rae Bareli.
