The Finance Ministry has extended by one year the validity of existing anti-dumping duty on recordable digital versatile disc (DVD) imports from China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.
The existing anti-dumping duty, which was earlier valid until July 22 this year, will now be valid until July 22 next year, the Revenue Department has said.
The latest Revenue Department move follows the initiation of sunset review investigations by the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry on DVD imports from China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.
Moser Baer India Ltd had filed the application seeking sunset review. The review petition had the support of other known Indian producers namely Euro Multivision Ltd and Jupiter International Ltd.
