The TiE Chennai Entrepreneur Awards that recognise successful entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu were presented at TiECON Chennai 2012 on Monday.
The awards that acknowledge the entrepreneurism at the core of business were given to emerging entrepreneurs from across sectors and categories. The winners this year were: Young achiever of the year, Karthikeyan Vijaykumar, CEO, Twenty19; Young achiever of the year, Sridevi Raghavan, CEO, Amelio Childcare; Start-up entrepreneur of the year, Girish Mathrubootham, CEO, Freshdesk; Next Gen entrepreneur of the year, S. Nandakumar, CEO, Perfint Healthcare; Next Gen entrepreneur of the year, Mithun Sacheti, CEO, Caratlane; Outstanding entrepreneur of the year, Ravi Srinivasan, MD, Craftsman Automation; Outstanding entrepreneur of the year, V. Shankar, CEO, CAMS; Super achiever of the year, P.N. Vasudevan, CEO, Equitas; and Social entrepreneur of the year, Arunachalam Muruganantham, CEO, Jayshree Industries.
Dr S.S. Badrinath, Founder, Sankar Nethralaya, was given a lifetime achievement award.
