Digital imaging and printing solutions leader Epson has expanded its InkTank printer series with the launch of five new models – L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170 and L6190.
Of the five InkTank printers, all but the L4150 offer duplex printing, which helps users save up to 50 per cent on paper cost, said Siva Kumar, General Manager, Inkjet Printers, Epson India.
He told BusinessLine that the new L-series printers are compact and integrate the InkTank into the printer, an improvement over the previous models.
These printers lower the cost of ownership with high page yield of 7,500 black and white pages and 6,000 colour pages for each complete set of four ink bottles.
The company has not only redesigned its L-series InkTank printers, but added new features after assessing the requirements of home-users and business needs, Siva Kumar said, and added that Epson has a market share of 42 per cent in the InkTank printer category, up from 18 per cent in 2011.
“We are now focused on the InkTank printer series rather than laser printers. This is in tune with the shift in the market towards InkTank,” Siva Kumar said.
