Strong global cues and improved demand in soyameal, both in domestic and export market, have lifted soyabean prices in mandis across Madhya Pradesh to ₹3,140-3,220 a quintal (₹3,060-80 last week). Besides strong buying in soyameal, increased demand for soyabean from Madhya Pradesh because of its better quality has also pushed up prices, said Mahesh Purohit, a local soyabean trader. Plant deliveries today rose to ₹3,360-3,400 (up ₹150 from last week). Soyameal prices in the spot were at ₹30,500, while it was ₹32,000 a quintal on the port. Compared to last week soy DOC is up Rs 2,000 a quintal. On the other hand, soya oil continued to trade low on sluggish demand with soya refined being quoted at ₹580-82 for 20 kg, while soya solvent ruled at ₹550-553.
