Strong global cues and improved demand in soyameal, both in domestic and export market, have lifted soyabean prices in mandis across Madhya Pradesh to ₹3,140-3,220 a quintal (₹3,060-80 last week). Besides strong buying in soyameal, increased demand for soyabean from Madhya Pradesh because of its better quality has also pushed up prices, said Mahesh Purohit, a local soyabean trader.
