Edible oils ruled firm for the second consecutive day tracking bullish futures and price hike by local refineries amid weak domestic currency.
On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, palmolein, soyabean and sunflower refined oil rose by ₹5 for 10 kg each. Cotton refined oil increased by ₹2. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹520-522, super palmolein ₹552 and soyabean refined oil ₹622. Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹518, soyabean refined oil ₹615 and sunflower refined oil ₹630. Allana’s rates were palmolein ₹525, super palmolein ₹550, soyabean refined oil ₹620 and sunflower oil ₹630.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia increased to ₹1,180 (₹1,175) and loose (10 kg) was steady at ₹750.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 790 (790), soya refined oil 615 (610), sunflower exp. ref. 575 (570), sunflower ref. 620 (615), rapeseed ref. oil 722 (723), rapeseed expeller ref. 692 (693) cottonseed ref. oil 640 (638) and palmolein 513 (508).
