Castorseed price moved up on the back of good demand and short supply, while it declined in futures on profit booking by traders.
Traders said that arrival of the commodity has declined in past one week and demand has been remained strong which pushes up the spot price.
About 60,000-65,000 bags arrived in Gujarat and price was up ₹5 to ₹795-805 per 20 kg. Around 2,200-2,300 bags arrived in Saurashtra and traded at ₹775-785 per 20 kg.
Castor oil traded up by ₹10 to ₹810/10 kg. On the NCDEX, June futures declined ₹69 to ₹4,020 a quintal.
On the Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX), castor June futures was down ₹65 to ₹4,058 and RCX spot castor moved up ₹37.50 to ₹4,000.
